We finally get a high end liquor store on the SE Side. This store is well stocked and has cigars, ice and all the other items you would expect from a higher end liquor store. The selection of high end booze is limited but over all i was super to find some 18-21 year old Scotch. Overall its was a nice experience and staff is super friendly.
This new one is smaller but has a nice selection. They didn't stock the RIOJA I drink but had plenty of others. And my goodness I've never seen so many little bottles of everything to try and sample. Everyone was very nice and JR was especially helpful.
I have a decorative backpack (small literally to hold like my wallet and other necessities) that I use as my purse as I dont carry what is a "normal" purse and I was told it's not allowed in the store and I had to leave it at the counter. I'm not leaving my personal belongings with people I dont know. I've never been to a Specs that's told me that. If you don't trust people the store shouldn't have been built on this side of town. Why are they charging a lower income community more than any other store in the city? Don't believe me? Check this out from their own website. When i asked the manager Monica to price match the other stores she took offense and became irritated. This is sad and needs to be fixed ASAP. Specs you are better than this!
