I went to the Kemah Specs. I bought a really cool whiskey smoking kit online for a loved one for Father’s Day. I wanted to buy a really good whiskey to pair with it. I went to the Kemah Specs because I was shopping in the area. As I stood in the whiskey section, I was approached by an older female employee. Smaller than most. Decent selection.
The staff is always great, cheerful, and helpful. This store is always well stocked and well maintained. By this, I mean clean and not dusty and dirty. I have never picked up a dusty bottle. And they have a nice selection of cigars.
Easy to get to what you want, small and quaint store. Great service. Ppl all over.
One day I arrived about 9:55. The door was unlocked so I went in. The employees on duty not quite politely told me they weren't open and that I had to leave. They locked the door behind me after I went out. I sat in the hood of my car until they unlocked the door again at approximately 10:05. Then I got in my car and drove away. Haven't been back. Won't go back. To this or any other Specs. Way to go guys. That's how you lose a customer. I'll go to the little local guys forever.
